ProScope HR: High Resolution USB Handheld Microscope (Link)

One of the nice gadgets I have seen and tried in Dubai GITEX 2006 is the ProScope HR, the high resolution USB handheld microscope. Available with 10X-400X magnification lenses. The ProScope snaps 640-by-480 true-color digital images or 320-by-200 AVI movies. It's very easy to connect to your notebook via a USB port and it comes with a software.

The ProScope has many applications. A biologist might configure it as a Webcam to monitor experiments remotely or share its output with a colleague through NetMeeting. Rather than squinting through a microscope eyepiece, students can view an image together.
